I have been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist since 2014, after completing my degree studies at the University of East Anglia. I currently split my working time between the NHS, Maidstone Physiotherapy Clinic and working alongside a rugby team. I work with a variety of patients and cases and love the diversity of pathologies I get to assess and treat on a day to day basis. My area of clinical interest includes Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders, including joint hypermobility to more severe cases of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, the shoulder ? what a fantastic bit of kit but not the most reliable joint and can be very stubborn at times – and dance related injuries.
I used to compete nationally in Hip-Hop, although don?t ask me to back flip anymore as the joints aren?t as flexible as they used to be! Education forms a big part of my treatment; how can a patient be expected to complete a home exercise programme if they do not understand why they are doing it? We are all responsible for our own health and well-being and I love giving people the tools to do just that. Outside of work I enjoy long walks with my fianc? and our Fox Red Labrador, watching the classic shows in London ? Les Miserables is my absolute favourite, anything around horses, FOOD and of course dance.
